Hello! In bullet point form, here is what I've been up to for the past two weeks.

London

  • Visited King's Cross & Platform 9 3/4

  • Saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theater (in total it was 5 hours long, and it was amazing)

  • Stayed in a hotel room with AC and a bath (luxury)

  • Visited buildings featured in the Harry Potter films

  • Decided I want a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for my future dog

  • Conquered London's train system

Amsterdam

  • Navigated a country with a different primary language (Dutch)

  • Toured the Anne Frank House

  • Realized an Americano there is served with hot water on the side, not in the coffee

  • Went to the Body Worlds museum, where I learned more about human anatomy and how our bodies are impacted by our current lifestyles

  • Constantly wondered if what I was doing was culturally appropriate (Can I sit in the grass by a pond? Is that normal here?)

  • Walked the endless slim streets and marveled at the canals

I reallyyyyy liked London, and want to go back. Amsterdam was more of just a city to me, beautiful nonetheless.

I'm now in Switzerland at a homestay where I'm working in an organic garden and doing chores around the house for three weeks. I have loved it so far, and I'm excited to give a more detailed update within the next few days. Until then, tschüss! (German for goodbye)
